होटल महा विहार इंटरनेशनल रेस्टोरेंट बिहारशरीफ–राजगीर मार्ग पर कुल फतेहपुर (पनहेसा) में है — नालंदा के प्राचीन खंडहरों, सिलाव के खाजा बाज़ार और राजगीर की पहाड़ियों के बीच।
खुला और हवादार डाइनिंग हॉल, ऊपर पंखे और नीचे साफ़ फ़र्श — एक साथ कई परिवारों के बैठने की जगह। यहाँ रुकने वाले ज़्यादातर लोग रास्ते के मुसाफ़िर हैं: राजगीर–पावापुरी जाते परिवार, नालंदा देखने आए यात्री, और आसपास के गाँवों से आने वाले मेहमान।
रसोई में शुद्ध शाकाहारी और मांसाहारी, दोनों तरह का भारतीय खाना बनता है — पनीर और दाल से लेकर चिकन, मटन, मछली और चाइनीज़ तक। बड़े आयोजनों के लिए अलग हॉल भी उपलब्ध है।
Hotel Maha Vihar International Restaurant stands on the Biharsharif–Rajgir road at Kul Phtehpur, between the ruins of Nalanda Mahavihara and the hills of Rajgir. Most of our guests are people on the road — families travelling to Rajgir and Pawapuri, and visitors coming to see Nalanda.
The kitchen cooks both pure vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indian food, from paneer and dal to chicken, mutton, fish and Chinese dishes. Rooms are available with and without air conditioning, and there is a separate hall for weddings and celebrations.
“महाविहार” यानी बड़ा विहार — नालंदा महाविहार के नाम पर, जो सदियों तक दुनिया भर के विद्यार्थियों का घर रहा। हमारा नाम उसी परंपरा से आया है: जो आए, उसे जगह मिले। “Mahavihar” means “great monastery”. We take our name from Nalanda Mahavihara, which for centuries was home to students from across the world — and we keep its idea: whoever arrives, finds a place.
